Last updated October 20, 2026. This page explains the limits of the information on woofwagnation.com.

General information only

The guides, breed pages and directory on this site are written to help you choose a dog, live with one and plan outings together. They are general information. They are not a substitute for advice that fits you, your dog and your situation.

Breed information describes tendencies

Breed pages describe what is common in a breed, such as size, coat, energy and temperament. Those are tendencies, not guarantees about an individual dog. A dog of any breed, or a mix, can differ from the description, and upbringing, training, health and age all matter. Use a breed page to decide what to ask and what to plan for, not to predict a particular dog.

Not veterinary advice

Nothing here is a diagnosis, a treatment plan or a replacement for an examination by a licensed veterinarian. Ask your vet before you change your dog's diet, give any medicine or supplement, or start a new exercise plan, and whenever your dog seems unwell.

If you think your dog has eaten something toxic or has an urgent health problem, do not wait for a web page. Contact a vet or an emergency clinic right away, or call the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at (888) 426-4435. That line may charge a consultation fee, and we are not connected to it.

Not training or behavior advice

Training and behavior content is general guidance. For aggression, biting or any behavior that could hurt a person or an animal, work with a qualified professional in person.

Not legal advice

Pages about leash rules, access to public places and similar topics give general information. Laws and local rules differ and change. For advice about your rights or duties, contact the relevant local agency or a lawyer.

Places and place rules

Directory listings are built from public business information, and dog policies are what the venue or managing authority states. Rules change: a patio can close to dogs, a park can add a leash rule, a fee can rise, hours can shift. Confirm with the venue or managing authority before you go, especially for size limits, breed limits, fees and the areas dogs are allowed. Being listed is not an endorsement, a certification or a guarantee that a place is safe or suitable for your dog.

Products and links

Gear articles may carry affiliate links; our affiliate disclosure explains how that works. Product details and prices can change after we write about them, and purchases are between you and the store.

Outside sources

We link to government agencies, breed organizations, veterinary references and other public sources so you can read the original. We do not control those sites, and their content may change after we link to it.

Results

Every dog and every household is different. No page on this site promises a particular result, outcome, timeline, traffic, booking or ranking.
