Which businesses can claim a listing?
Dog-friendly restaurants and patios, breweries and hotels can claim and upgrade a listing. If your business already appears in the dog-friendly places directory, you can ask to claim that listing. If it does not, you can suggest it.
Dog owners do plan around their dogs. The American Pet Products Association's 2024 report says 55% of dog owners tailor travel plans to their pets, and a 2019 YouGov survey of 1,386 U.S. adults found 51% said non-service dogs should be allowed in restaurant outdoor seating.
What does a free claimed listing include?
A claimed listing is free, and it puts your details in your hands. You can correct the basics, add a short description of your own and show up to three of your own photos and your logo. Your dog policy appears as you state it, and visitors get a message form to reach you.
Spell the policy out exactly. "Dogs allowed on the patio only" helps a visitor far more than "dog-friendly," and it saves your staff the repeat question. For hotels, that means the pet fee, deposit, number of dogs, weight limit and which rooms allow dogs.
What does Pro add?
Pro is $19 per month or $190 per year. It carries the same facts and badges as the free listing and adds more room to present your place.
You get up to 20 photos and a cover image, a longer description with your dog policy details and an FAQ, and a Spanish translation of your description. You can also add a booking link and a special offer. Your listing carries a Pro label and sits ahead of unclaimed listings when everything else is equal. There are no contracts, and you can cancel anytime.
What does Sponsored add?
Sponsored is $29 per month (the founding rate) or $290 per year, for one category-city page. It includes everything in Pro and places your listing in a top slot on that page.
Each category-city page has at most two Sponsored slots.
